Coeliodes (Curculionidae)

The three British species of Coeliodes are pretty easy to separate using the following simple key (adapted from Morris, 2008).
1.	Pronotum with a blunt prominence on each side in middle.	transversealbofasciatus. (Goeze)
--	Pronotum simple.	2.
2.	Rostrum black. 2.1-2.8mm.	rana (Fabricius)
--	Rostrum red. 2.8-3.4mm	ruber (Marsham)
